SrTiO3 powder, as one kind of functional powder , is widely used as electrode material for photolysis of water, oxygen sensitive material, moisture sensitive material, thermo-sensitive material, high-voltage capacitor, and so on. The methods of preparing SrTiO3 powders include solid-state method, co-precipitate method, sol-gel method, hydrothermal method, etc. With the development of electronic industry, performance of electronic ceramic material was required higher. People devote more attraction on synthesizing electronic ceramic material. In this paper we studied two liquid phase methods, co-precipitate method and microemulsion method, to synthesize SrTiO3 powders. In the process of synthesis powders by co-precipitate method, We firstly, using Sr(NO3)2,Ti(OC4H9)4,H2C2O4 as raw materials, prepared the precuorsers in liquid phase and then calcined the precuorsers to achieve SrTiO3 powders. Samples were characterized by XRD, SEM. Sr-Ti molar ratio and purity was determined by coordination titration. We found many reports on synthesizing inorganic materials by microemulsion method such as TiO2,SiO2 etc. However, there is no report on synthesizing SrTiO3 powders by this method. The advantage of microemulsion method is that we can control the shape and size of particals by changing solution conditions. In this paper, we respectively choose solo-surfactant system and combined surfactants system for preparing the products. The precursors of SrTiO3,using Sr(NO3)2,TiCl4,H2C2O4 as raw materials, were prepared by microemulsion method in solid phase. SrTiO3 powders were synthesized by calcining the precursors at 800 ℃in air for 4 hours and were characterized by XRD,IR,TG,SEM,TEM. The relationship between correlative parameters and size or shape of particals was found. So we can control size or shape of SrTiO3 particals by changing correlative parameters. The results show that synthesis conditions such as w0(water-to-surfactant molar ratio),concentration of raw materials, reaction temperature, aging time, calcining temperature etc., played an important role in controlling shape and size of nano-particles.
