"Chuan Nan" gas field, one of the earlier developed gas field, has already been exploited and developed for more than 40 years. The high and steady gas yield period of this gas field has already passed, and this gas field came into the stage of small gas yield and producing hidden gas in 1988. Now, the producing natural gas ability of "Chuan Nan" gas field is reducing and the output of natural gas is decreasing. The south area of Sichuan province is the first area in Sichuan province to utilize natural gas and the amount of consumed gas of that area is enormous. Especially, after the strategy for Western Development was brought forward, because of the development of natural gas market, the requirement of consumed gas is increased. However, the natural gas output of "Chuan Nan" gas field is smaller and smaller, this output has not met the natural gas market's requirement. Supply and demand contradiction of natural gas in south area of Sichuan province is more and more standing out. Therefore, the south area of Sichuan province needs to gain natural gas from south main natural gas pipeline to solve the gas supply and demand contradiction.Natural gas pipe network, as the joint of production and consumer, has very important function. Therefore, understanding and simulating the operating way of pipe network is in favor of adjust or reconstruct of pine network and exploitation and utilizing natural gas of "Chuan Nan" gas field.According to the characteristic of natural gas pipe network, this paper studies the simulation of pipe network's steady and dynamic state. On the basis of equations of continuity, motion, energy and state when natural gas is flowing at steady state in pipe network, this paper adopts Adams forecast-correction method to solve these equations. However, on the basis of equation of continuity and equation of motion as well as equation of state when natural gas is flowing at dynamic state in pipe network, this paper adopt center implicit difference method to solve these equations. Then, computer software for natural gas pipe network simulation is produced.By using this software to analyze the natural gas pipe network in eight gas areas of "Chuan Nan" gas field, this paper elicits a series of conclusions that can guide to adjust or reconstruct natural gas pipe network in Sichuan province south area.
