The results of preliminary studies of a new polymer electrolytes based on poly(lithium acrylate) , PAALi, with low-melting-point eutectic lithium salts consisted of LiClO4. LiNO3 and LiOAc were described. Lithium acrylate has been synthesized from neutralization of crylic acid (AA) and LiOH , acetone was used as precipitator. Effect of two important factors : amount of precipitator and time for precipitation on the yield of AALi has been determined . PAALi was prepared from AALi by solvent polymerization . The polymerization condition was optimized as : reaction time was 2h . reaction temperature 85. monomer concentration 17% and initiator concentration 0.2 %. under the optimal conditions, yield of PAALi could be improved to 92.3 % .AALi -, PAALi and polymer electrolyte were characterized by differential thermal analysis (DTA). thermogravimetry (TG). IR and XRD. The electrochemical performance of polymer electrolyte was characterized by impedance spectra and cyclic voltammograms respectively. The CV indicates that the electrochemical stability window is at least 4.5V for the polymer electrolyte in our study. Emphasis has been placed on studying the impedance characteristics and the SPE/blocking electrode interface. The effects of the eutectic and polymer features upon the ionic conductivity were discussed . Modified PAALi was also studied. It showed that the polymer electrolyte consisted with modified PAALi and eutectic salts not only has good ionic conductivity, but also has good elastico-viscosity.
