Synthsis of Herbac with dihydromyrcene as reactant was studied, On the basis of the experiments some conclusion are obtained. The study shows:1 A process for sythsising Herbac,we have obtained other compounds-Aph ermate and α ,3,3-trimethyl cyclohexahe methanol2 A process for sythsising Aphermate, the results showed that the optium condition shou|d be that m(formic acid):m(dihydromyrcene):m(TYN-l catalyst)=3:5:1,reaction time 5h,reaction temperature 55℃ ?this compound is formed by treating dihydromyrcene with formic acid in the presence of a sulfonic acid resin or TS-1 catalyst, the selectivity reached 32.8% and 52.31% respectively,, But this compound is formed by treating dihydromyrcene with formic acid in the presence of TYN-1 catalyst, the selectivity reached 63.99%. the reaction time was less than domestic report by 5 times The catalyst can use continuously seven times, and have very good stability of activity The catalyst dosage was less than domestic report by 2.5 times 3 A process for oxidation, under chromic acid-acetic acid-water reaction system condtion, yield of the product was 42.25%,and chromium lost easily under TYN-2 oxidant condtion, yield of the product was 84.77% This oxidan't is very stable and can be kept air at room temperature for several months without losing its activity The experimental resules provide entific basis for cleaner production 4 Under reaction system of alkali as catalyst condtion, yield of α ,3,3-trimethyl cyclohexane methanol was 80.5% This reaction system can advance quality of the product, and can meet the need of industry production5 Quality of Herbac accorded with Internation Flavors & Fragrances company standard 6 A method has developed for the determination Aphermateo RSD are 0.042% and 0.60% respectively, correlation equation: Y1=135.8X1-0.37 and Y2=6.5X2+0.021 correlation coefficient: r1=0.99l7 and r2=0.9911 7 A method has developed for the determination Herbac RSD are 0.066% and 0.16% respectively, correlation equation: Y1=0.81+33.05X1 and Y2=0.15+4.9X2 correlation coefficient: r1=0.9992 and r2=0.9999...
