Hydraulic decoking cutter displacements real time monitoring system is an essential component of programmable control system of hydraulic decoking method in delayed coking unit, which has very important significance for efficiency, quality and safety of decoking task.In course of decoking, it is indispensable to judge the position of coke cutter in coke tower, in order to adjust whole course of decoking task. Anciently, the cutter position can but judge by personal skill and experience, which lack external and tried instruments. Therefore, this paper is based on the successful experience learnt through embedded study and comparison of the present domestic and foreign monitor system. In this paper, the author studies and manufactures a set of hydraulic decoking cutter displacement real time monitor system, basing on the existing programmable control system and considering the fact of the unit. Operator can directly and accurately observe the position of coke cutter in coke tower at any moment.The critical technological problems of this system show as follows: angle displacement quantities of guide pulley are translated into the displacement quantities of cutter; angle displacement quantities of guide pulley and count reposition position of cutter displacement which are obtained through approach switch are translated into pulse signals; use select signal of tower from intrinsic programmable control system to differentiate count pulse of cutter displacement of two towers, which make two towers use a set of display; use rise and drop control signals of winch from frequency conversion tank in intrinsic programmable control system to realize addition and decrease counts of cutter displacements. These signals are inputted into single-chip system to manage and the outputs are shown by LED display through light-pole analog and numeral tube mode.This system has the advantages of lower building and maintenance costs, better precision which attain 0.1m, adopting anti-jamming design and steady and credible running and so on, which has huge engineering and fact significance as well as spread worthiness.
