Activity Of Pp Compatibilizer

Most of the compatibilizers in using with polypropylene(PP) extrusion grafting are usually poisonous, unsteady, odoriferous and big loss of strength of the PP resin. In view of these defects,a kind of high activity compatilizer(hppc) was prepared with the method of bulk graft copolymerization. It was showed that the properties of hppc was steady, conveniently and effectively in use, and had no bad odor.The best conditions of hppc synthesis , its application properties in PP alloy and PP filling alloy were studied systematically in this paper. The main conclusions are as follows:1. The characters of compatibilizer are differental and the graft rate have great changed with the various graft copolymerization conditions. When the temperature of graft copolymerization is 75±5℃, the amount of initiator and the concentration of monomer are proper, the reaction time is l-2hr . The graft rate is high, the color and strenth are also better.2. The study of application on hppc in PP alloy confirms that mechanical properties, interfacial properties and Theological properties are all enhanced and improved after blending hppc whether in PP blend alloy or PP filling alloy, and the effect of hppc in filling alloy is better obviously than the conventional coupling agents.
