Besides the method , the paper introduced also the struture of the standard part databse system of 3D blanking die that has combined VisualBasic and SolidEdge . the research result is briefted as follows : (1) the system can automatically provide users a new 3D part mould according to the parameters given by users ; (2) the system automatically gives users 2D drawing of the new 3D mould ; (3) users can add new standard part into the standard part database .; (4) users may manager mould files . In addition , the standard part database possesses reliability , generality , simple operation and friendly user-interface . In a word , the standard part database has practicality in some way .
