With the development of science, electronic nose has been used widely in more and more fields. On the other hand, as the living level of our people approved , more and more people spend their money fitting up. But there are many polluted gases in the materials. These gases are harmful to the healthy of people. So it is very important to inspect the concentrations of these gases. This paper did research work for the method of inspection of these polluted gases by artificial olfaction system. In this paper, SnO2 gas sensors were used to collect signals. As we collecting signals, we change the work voltage of gas sensors periodically. When we deal with the signal data, we do FFT first, choose their AC and DC components respectively, and then put these data into RBF artificial network to discriminate signals. There are seven chapters in this paper. Chapter 1 introduces the development of electronic nose, discusses the probability of applying electronic nose to polluted gases in the room. Chapter 2 introduces the sensors usually used in the artificial olfaction systems .Chapter 3 introduces the data processing methods usually used in the artificial olfaction systems. Chapter 4 introduces the general requirements and realization method of our task. Chapter 5 introduces the hardware of our system. Chapter 6 introduces the data signal process of our system. Chapter 7 introduces our experiment, and summaries the merits and shortage of our system.
