Human Needs And Sustainable Development

Nowadays, sustainable development is one of the hottest problems concerned by the whole world. It is not only interrelated with the development of human society, but also with the persistence of human civilization. There are many reasons for sustainable development problem, but the essential reason is correlative with "human problems", mainly the problem of human's needs at present. So studying the relationship between sustainable development and human's needs is not only helpful to development of society, but also useful to the development of human.The thesis consists of four sections: the first section points out the cause and essence of the sustainable development problem. There are two main causes: one is-the negative influence of human's practical activities, another is the traditional production mode and life style. The essence of sustainable development is the problem of human's needs.In the second section, the rationality of human's needs is analyzed from three sides, such as subject of needs, object of needs and realization of needs. On the basis of the analysis, an opinion is put forward that human's needs should be adjusted and controlled.In the third section, theoretic analysis is given mainly about therelationship between human's needs and sustainable development. In this part, the following two opinions are demonstrated, the first is that keeping abstentious physical demand is the inherent request of sustainable development, the second is that the important goal of sustainable development is all-around development of needs.In the forth section, it is analyzed how to establish a sustainable life style from theory and realization. At the same time, it is elementarily discussed that factors influencing the life style of China at the present age, and the principle of establishing sustainable life style in China.
