Engineering ceramic is used widely in many fields such as electronics, metallurgy ,chemistry industry ,machine, energy power, aviation and space-flight, but it is very difficult to machine, for principle, ultrasonic machining is one of the most potential technologies resolving difficult problem of engineering ceramic. However, traditional ultrasonic molding machining is in very low level at present. It adopts "principle of shape copy", only be used in one dimension machining, and adjusts important machining pressure and feed technics parameters only by equipped weight, so the machining precision and machining efficiency are both very poor.In order to change existing state, the paper introduces the idea of layered manufacturing into common ultrasonic rotary machining, puts forward technology way of "ultrasonic layered milling machining", and develops one 2.5 axes open CNC system using DOS as platform. At first, the paper introduces principle of three dimension ultrasonic rotary layered milling NC machining, and then designs hardware part of open CNC system. On the basis of accomplishing 2.5 dimension NC function, the system realizes pressure feedback control in Z-axial by detecting machining pressure between the tool and the workpiece in real time with a sensor in order to keep machining pressure invariable. Finally the paper develops program with C language which adopts proscenium-background control mode and modularized architecture, and it passes the debugging. The CNC system has been developed", which makes the manufacturing of the engineering ceramics parts with three dimension complex shape possible, and can supply further research of technics law of ultrasonic machining with basic experiment condition.
