The Apparel Product Data Design (APDD) System is a CAD system applying to modern management pattern to manage apparel production. This task is the requirement of one apparel business to develop a practical and human-nature APDD System. During the research of the system, we tried to unit technology and art to one.With the development of the market economy, apparel businesses face many new problems. For example, the difficulty of the production plans, the competition of talented people and technology. In order to solve these problems and realize the new pattern of "more species, less quality, higher quantity, shorter cycle", we should make great effort to adopt modern apparel technology, change the traditional pattern and replace the computer with manual operating. Although most of the present CAD systems have the functions of craft drawing and management, they do not be widely used because they lack human-nature, flexibility and their interface of human-computers are not very good.PgmCthCrft System characterizes not only its function, but its human-nature designing. The human-Computer system needs coordinated working between human and computer. In the past, people place more emphasis on system's structure mechanics theory, efficiency and cost, but they ignore the factor of humanities. This leads to the result that the system will unfit to people. So human-nature system should be developed by considering the factors of technology, psychology, physiology. PgmCthCrft is the same way.The essence characteristic of the design is function. The PgmCthCrft system has the function of making craft form and drawing production-chart. With the research of its reliability, applicability, intelligence and ability, we adopt OLE(Object linking and Embedding)technology to make this system meet the need of manufactory. Considering the user of this system are administrator and skill workers, we emphasize the interaction of human-computer on the interface. We use direct operating technology, antialising technology to make the operation more flexible and convenient. All these embody one aim------design for human.
