Researching the Adiabatic Shear Instability in Machining High Intense Steel ProcessThere will be coming into being adiabatic shear during cutting high intense steer process. The phenomenon provides an effective and convenient method for breaking chip. Orthogonal cutting technology is used in these researches. The serial data, about the adiabatic shear during cutting two states of high intense steer 30CrNi3MoV process, is acquired. These researches about its physical characteristic, its propagation, its transformation mechanism, etc. must begin with its micro-structure characteristic. For the character of the adiabatic shear is local distortion and high temperature, all of these must make micro-structure change. Based on ample experiments, this research makes use of optical microscopy, micro-sclerometer, scan electron microscopy, etc. to observe, survey, compare, analyze the macro- and micro-properties of adiabatic shear bands in machining high intense steel process, to research systematically formation, development, propagate of adiabatic shear bands.Based on this research, the characteristic during cutting these steers process will be used to improve its breaking chip through controlling the cutting parameters. It makes it possible that increasing cutting velocity and reasonable breaking chip both be realized synchronously.
