Anthraquinone was synthesized by the F-C reaction of phthalic anhydride with benzene in the presence of an environmentally friendly catalyst-H β zeolite and modified β zeolites. The effects of modified method as well as reaction temperature on catalyst activity and selectivity have been investigated, the results showed that main reaction products contain anthraquinone and benzoylbenzoic acid.Under proper reaction conditions and used the catalyst of H β modified by Ce4+, the convertion of phthalic anhydride is 59. 13% and the selectivity of anthraquinone is 94. 25% . As reaction temperature increased, the conversion of phthalic anhydride increased, the selectivity of anthraquinone decreased respectively. The reaction mechanism is as follows:...
