In order to enhance titanium alloy surface ornamental, micro hardness and wear resistance of titanium alloy, improve the service life, break its limit of application, enlarge its scope of application. In this paper, the technology of WEDM-HS(High speed Wire Electrical Discharge Machining) is used for coloring the surface of Ti-6Al-4V alloy.This paper from the perspective of machining principle, prepared six kinds of tone by adjusting the electrical discharge processing parameters on the surface of Ti-6Al-4V alloy. And related to the antifriction properties of Ti-6Al-4V alloy-colored surface is analyzed. Aiming at the coloration mechanism of Ti-6Al-4V alloy surface, using EDS and XRD equipment tested the phase composition of reacted film; Respectively, after the 1000 hours of sunlight and water immersion; Using nano indentation test the micro hardness on polishing surface of matrix and colored surface; Using RTEC micro friction and wear tester analysis the friction properties of colored surface with different friction time, different normal loads, different slip rate dry friction conditions.The experimental results show that, the colored surface after WEDM-HS process has good stability and durability, the micro hardness of colored surfaces is higher than that of matrix, moreover, the average friction coefficient of colored surfaces is reduced about 60%~70% compared with unprocessed surface, so, showing excellent antifriction performance and having important significance to increase the durability of titanium alloy.
