With the development of high-precision products towards miniaturization trend, it is very important to research on micro plastic forming technology. Technology of laser micro-shock was used in this paper, it induces shock wave pressure on the T2 copper surface to produce a fine plastic forming. At present, there is still short of systematic research on multi-point micro laser forming process and characterization shock surface morphology. Mechanism of laser shock was analyzed in the project. Theory, experiment and numerical simulation was adopted in the paper. Influence of different process parameters on the deformation and surface morphology was discussed. Experiments and simulations on the typical shape characteristics of the forming were conducted. It provides good guidance for the selection of process parameters in micro laser shock forming and surface quality control by the analysis and reasonable characterization. The main work is as follow:(1) The development of micro laser shock plastic forming was summarized, Mechanism of laser shock waves for sheet metal was introduced, laser shock forming theoretical was analyzed.(2) Experiments of laser shock on T2 copper were conducted. Influence of laser energy, spot diameter, shock times, sheet thickness and die aperture on micro laser shock forming were analyzed. The results show non-linear increasing relationship between laser energy, shock times, die aperture and deformation; There is a decreasing relationship between spot diameter, sheet thickness and deformation. Under multi-point micro laser shock condition, surface roughness increase with increment of laser energy; Deformation of sheet increases with increment of overlapping rate, and surface is much smoother; With increment of diameter of laser spot get a smoother surface.(3) Numerical simulation of copper treated by micro laser shock. Based on ABAQUS software, single spot, multi-point and typical path of T2 copper sheet laser shock were simulated, and shock forming and surface morphology was characterized. The results show that experimental results and simulation results have a better consistency, which validates the correctness of laser shock plastic forming numerical model. Numerical simulation is an effective means to predict the effect of micro laser shock forming.
