| Laser shock forming (LSF) is a novel technique that uses laser-induced shock wave to shape sheet-metal, whose technology, craft as well as equipment development and application will be a technological revolution that has the vital significance in the sheet-metal profession. Based on the studies of predecessor, the laser-shock forming experimental study and the finite element analysis of Al-Mg-Sc sheet is studied in this paper as follows:Based on the preliminary study on LSF, the characteristics of Laser-induced shock wave and forming characteristic of laser-shock forming is studied in detail; According to the two-dimensional wave theory, through Al-Mg-Sc sheet high strain rate dynamic compression experiment on miniature Hopkinson compression bar, the data of rheological stress under high strain rate is attained to fit the Johnson-Cook constitutive equation which is carried on the contrast confirmation with the experimental results; Through the analysis of the factors to affect the sheet forming quantity which is attained in the laser shock forming experiment of Al-Mg-Sc sheet on the power Nd:Glass laser, laser energy is the most primary factor that affects the sheet forming quantity and the sheet forming quantity is increased in non-linearity as the laser energy increase; The new X-350A ray stress determinator is utilized to measured surface residual stress in the deformed area, the distribution of the surface residual stress and the principle of the residual stress is analyzed, laser parameter and the material physical characteristics that influence residual stress is carried on the elaboration; Based on the laser shock forming principle, the finite element model is established then the finite element analysis software MSC.Marc is used to simulate the Al-Mg-Sc sheet forming process under laser shock load. Result indicated: The simulation result and the experimental result have obtained the good uniformity.It is for the first time to carry on the high strain rate dynamic compression experiment to the Al-Mg-Sc sheet in domestic.The fitting constitutive equation parameter and fitting result is utilized in the finite element simulation, which is on the contrast with the experimental result. The research work is done to make the base for high strain rate superplastic deformation theory and mechanical analysis of the metal sheet in laser shock forming. |
