Shaanxi coal mining area is located in the loess plateau in northern Shaanxi and southern Maowusu sandy land border, also is the transition zone of the loess plateau and Inner Mongolia plateau, enrichment of energy mineral resources, known as "China’s Kuwait". Because of its special geological conditions, geographic location, climate characteristics and recent years on the exploitation of coal resources, caused by a series of local geological environment, ecological environment problems. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the domestic and foreign research present situation of ecological restoration theory, northern Shaanxi coal mining area ecological environment impact assessment and ecological status quo, on the basis of the reason of the fragile ecological environment in the north of Shaanxi analysis, on this basis, it is concluded that the coal mining area of Shaanxi should follow the principle of ecological restoration planning, ecological restoration planning steps. Ecological restoration plan and make a try. Results are as follows:(1) The coal mining area of Shaanxi area investigation, clear the regional characteristics of northern Shaanxi coal mining area, the engineering general situation and general geological situation, the ecological environment, and social and economic for simple research.Northern Shaanxi coal mining area due to the particularity of the location, terrain, climate and changeful, vulnerable ecological environment, natural disasters occurred frequently.(2) To evaluate the environmental impact of coal mining area of Shaanxi, which is for the mining of coal resources of Shaanxi coal mining area ecological environment destruction caused by the detailed study, the influence of land subsidence, the destruction of water resources, land desertification, intensifying and the impact on local animal and plant. Coal mining subsidence area of Shaanxi problems generally speaking is more serious. The destruction of water resources including groundwater pollution, ground water levels fall, pollution of surface water system, and even cause rivers;Surface subsidence, ground fissure and so on a series of surface damage caused by the foundation of the vegetation, and sand damage, caused by wind erosion, land desertification status further.(3) The northern Shaanxi coal mining area, this paper generally the problem of ecological environment of the coal mine were proposed in the paper is divided into construction, production period and closed mineral phase of the three different periods of fix governance approach. On soil and vegetation protection measures were proposed, for the protection of wildlife, on the countermeasures to prevent and control soil erosion and the construction of ecological environmental supervision and management work, to the land subsidence damage compensation scheme, the design of the subsidence area land reclamation, groundwater protection measures, as well as the ecological environment management and monitoring work, industrial plant area greening, the subsidence area management, and the scheme determination of vegetation restoration, etc.(4) In the process of ecological restoration in the coal mining area of Shaanxi, through the above measures taken, some improvement of the ecological environment. This article through to the coal mine field research and investigation work, give some of the effects of ecological restoration.In this paper, in the northern Shaanxi coal mining area ecological environment protection measures shall be taken to apply in actual engineering projects, analyses the application effect of ecological environmental protection measures, as the future coal mining area ecological environment protection and ecological restoration.
