As the manufacturing is developing toward various production, and the production is turning to small booming, it’s inevitable to produce remnant plate in the plate processing enterprise, and the second use of remaining material is an important method of keeping the material cost advantage. The laser cutting is adopted by more and more enterprises because of it’s high precision and low price, which means the study of remnant plate laser cutting has important significance of computer aided process planning. In this thesis, the Classification management of remnant plate, parts in the remaining plate on the nesting algorithm and laser cutting process optimization are the three mainly aspects of this objective. The main work in this article is as follows:1 The classification method of remnant plate is described. The basic theory of classification coding is expounded, according to the remaining plate properties such as material, available area, etc,a kind of excess stock plate oriented chain structure independent part classification coding system is put forward, and the classification coding system of the bit code is made up of the form of the order code and classification code. Excess stock plate information classification and coding has certain help of the informatization of excess stock plate.2 The stock cutting problem of remnant plate is described. On the basis of research on genetic algorithm and ant colony algorithm, the mixed nesting algorithm of genetic algorithm and max-min ant system is used: take the advantage of the the operation efficiency of genetic algorithm in the early stage of the operation, the genetic algorithm is employed to generate the pheromone distribution first, then it makes use of the ant algorithm which has higher operation efficiency to continue global search for the optimal layout of rectangular pieces of a sequence. the decoding process is realized by using the lowest outline collision detection algorithm to avoid cavity of remnant plate. Finally, the double opposite layout and multi-slice of parts are used to improve the enveloping rate of enclosure rectangle further in order to improve the utilization rate of materials.3 The optimization of laser cutting paths is described. First, laser cutting machine servo system is introduced, an algorithm is given to prevent the laser cutting machine nozzle collision with the cavity in the cutting process : according to the principle of determining the reentrant cutting parts cutting sequence, part of the most right vertex is regarded as a starting point to determine the cutting path. Finally, through the local adjustment algorithm, the path does not meet the requirements adjusted.4 Through the example verification process, optimization of laser cutting method based on the remnant plate in this paper is feasible and has a certain practicality.
