Continuous casting technology has been widely used in iron and steel industry all over the world for its advantages, such as high productivity, low energy consumption. However, improper cooling system and the static pressure of liquid steel leads to larger bulging deformation, which will seriously affect the the quality of continuous casting slab, shorten the service life of continuous casting machine,and even make the stagnation of production. The creep properties of the steel at high temperature will affect the bulging. The creep properties of Q460 E alloy steel is studied by experiment. After that, the process of continuous casting is simulated to study the mechanism of bulging deformation.It has some reference meaning to the process parameters optimization and improving the quality of continuous casting slab.This dissertation introduces the experiments of high-temperature creep and thermoplastic test for alloy steel Q460 E which are conducted by using Gleeble-3800 thermal-force simulation machine firstly. By this result, the number of high temperature mechanics performance parameters, such as elastic modulus, yield strength, reduction of area are obtained. Through the high-temperature creep experiment, analysising the creep curves under different temperature and stress, and getting the influence law of temperature and stress on the creep, and the high-temperature creep equation is established.Secondly, 3D model of the continuous casting slab was established based on Marc software to simulating the process of solidification. we can get the temperature field of the slab at any position as well as the growth regularity of solidified shell.Finally, the elastoplastic creep model is adopted to establishing the 3D drum belly model of continuous casting slab, and using subroutine CRPLAW of Marc import Q460 E high-temperature creep equation into the model, the drum belly of continuous casting slab finite element simulation, comparison and analysis the casting drum, equivalent stress and strain with the no-creep equation and creep equation applied two kinds of cases. Finally get the influence of creep on the bulging deformation At the end of the article studied the influence of the drum belly caused by roller spacing and pulling speed, providing certain reference basis for roller column arrangement.
