Bionic tribology provides a new idea and method to improve the wear resistance of materials. Bionic concaves on wear specimens were machined with drilling technology. Influence of bionic concave form without hardening on wear resistance of specimen were researched in this paper.Bionic concave forms of, with regular arrangement on Q235 material specimens surfaces, were fabricated with laser processing and drilling technology, respectively. Friction and wear tests were carried out to study the effect of different processing ways for on specimen wear resistance. And to analysis the influences of concaves of bionic form on wear resistance of Q235 under the condition of lubrication were analyzed. Analysising the influence of Q235 specimen with Q235 specimen surfaces under the condition of lubrication wear. Drilling technology was adopted on carbon steel, polycarbonate, aluminum alloy and red copper to work machine bionic concave form with different diameters and spacings. Wear experiments were carried out under different speeds to study friction and wear properties.Compared with Q235 specimen surfaces, the bionic specimen machined by drilling has better wear resistance. And bionic specimen with laser processing has lowest mass loss. The increase of laser processing concave indentation hardness contributes to the improvements of the wear resistance. The wear mechanisms of ordinary surface were abrasive wear mechanism and adhesive wear mechanisms. The main mechanism of concave bionic surface processed by laser was abrasive wear. The mechanism of concave bionic surface machined by drilling was abrasive wear and progressive adhesive wear. The existence of bionic concave changes the wear mechanism. The bionic concave can store chips and reduce the secondary wear cauded by abrasive chip. The plastic deformation of concave can reduce the adhesive wear. Under the condition of lubricated wear, the bionic pit form can store oil and sustain oil supply for wear surface.
