The Synthesis Of Primidineones And Xanthenes Catalyzed By Functionalized Ionic Liquids

Ionic liquid is a kind of salt that is made up of organic cations and anions, which can melt at room temperature. Ionic liquid is famous for its superior characteristics, including low vapor pressure, more soluble and recyclable ability comparing to traditional organic solvents. Therefore, more and more attention are concentrated on it.Biginelli reaction is a very important reaction during modern organic industry because its product 3,4-dihydropyrimidine-2-(1H)-(thio)one has a very special construct that called pyrimidine ring, which is an important construct of some big biomoleculars. Thus, how to use this reaction to obtain 3,4-dihydroprimidione efficiently is a very important issue at present.Xanthene compunds perform multiple biological and pharmacological activities such as anti-cancer, anti-imflammatory, anti-virus and anti-bacterial. Also, they are very important intermediate products in organic chemistry. In addition, they can also be made to p H sensitive fluorescent material for the visualization of biomolecular assemblies. So, these compounds are attracting more and more researchers to study.Benzoxanthene compounds are very important leuco dyes in laser technology. Besides, they also perform various characteristics like other xanthene compounds.This paper includes two main parts:The first part is about literature review. The development and application of ionic liquids in Biginelli reaction and the synthesis of xanthene and benzoxanthene are introduced.The second part is about experiment content. It includes the major work:1. The synthesis of one functionalized pyrazine ionic liquid and application to the Biginelli reaction.2. The synthesis of xanthene catalyzed by four functionalized imidazolium ionic liquids.3. The synthesis of benzoxanthene catalyzed by functionalized TFA ionic liquid.
