Frequent haze weather seriously affects the travel of the public, threatens people’s health, and it is even more harmful than water pollution. In the national policy and legal framework, commercial banks develop green credit to limit enterprises in "high energy consumption, high pollution" to loan, while support and promote the development of enterprises devoted to ecological protection and construction With its implementation by commercial banks, green credit plays an increasingly important role in haze governance. This paper attempts to conduct regression analysis based on the profitability of commercial banks, number of good air quality days, the reputation of commercial banks and other indicators to es tablish a model which explores the role green credit plays in the governance process of haze. This article focuses on the analysis of the feedback effects haze governance has to commercial banks.This paper first introduces the background of green credit, as well as the deterioration of the air quality, the urgency of the implementation of green credit policy. In the main part of the article, the author introduces the introduction of the economic foundation of the green credit and green credit approach to governance haze. This article mainly introduces the theoretical basis and the realistic foundation of the implementation of green credit of listed banks, elaborates respectively from the economics of sustainable development, the theory of corporate social responsibility. In the theoretical analysis and empirical test part, this paper firstly verifies the relationship between performance and green reputation among banks through theoretical analysis and establish the empirical model according to the results of the analysis, through the regression and correlation results of the analysis, the conclusions drawn in this paper:listed banks get green reputation in the process of indirect governance haze, green reputation is positively related with bank performance; better air quality can also have a positive impact on the profitability of banks.Finally, for the case of the current development of China’s green credit underpowered, the author puts forward the following suggestions:we should vigorously promote green credit and the energy conservation and environmental protection to banks, enterprises and the public, integrating the concept of environmental protection into their daily economic activities; banks and the environmental protection departments should establish effective communication mechanism, sharing environmental information of enterprises, as it can reduce the cost of the bank in the process of the implementation of green credit; Financial institutions should develop innovative green credit products in order to minimize the cost of governance haze; The national legal system in the aspects of green credit and innovative green credit products is lagging behind, the government should establish a matched legal system.
