Electronic dobby is employed to shuttleless loom harness device in textile machinery. Theelectronic dobby’s working performance will directly affect the production quality andproduction efficiency of the loom.Therefore, under the trend of constant improvement of thetextile requirements, whether electronic dobby posesses excellent characteristics has becomingthe most noticeable focus of market and enterprise.This paper takes HQ3620rotary electronic dobby which is jointly researched and developedby Hequn Textile Machinery Company and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University as the research object.At present, the HQ3620rotary electronic dobby has completed commissioning, and entering thestage for mass production. Performance testing is necessary for verifying the designing andassembling accuracy before rotary electronic dobby mass production. The testing systemequivalent substitution scheme is proposing after a series of theoretical analysis. The applicationof virtual instrument in the system testing process makes test system more efficient and accurate.Test system can realize the security test and function test and to analize and assess actualperformance by drawing the curve which is based on the test data.1) Propose the testing system equivalent substitution scheme and design a set of electronicdobby test system through the actual data, which is provided by the company and sheddingmechanism kinematics theory analysis. Compared with dynamic behaviour in the actualworking condition, the dobby test system machine design is proved to be reasonable.2) Design a set of test system scheme of electric control based on the mechanical designaccording to the testing requirements. Choose appropriate testing sensor based on thesimulation and measurement data and classificate the electric control board used in the testsystem, and then design a test system electric cabinet.3) Design a software scheme of process monitoring system by the virtual instrument softwareLabVIEW. Combined with electric control design hardware to realize the purpose of thedata acquisition and monitoring in the dobby motion period.Test system proposes the equivalent substitution scheme based on the equivalent load,which efficiently decreases the test system occupation area, simplifies the agency and reducescost. Complete the test system software design by reasonably selecting sensors,intrroducing virtual instrument system in the test software and hardware and applying LabVIEW.The experimental simulation in the laboratory proves that the test system is feasible. The test system has an important role on improving the test accuracy, data monitoring and shortening theproduct development cycle.
