The porous organic polymers mainly composed of light elements such as C, H, O, N and has light skeleton density, much building monomer, varied synthesis methods. POPs has extensive application in the gas storage and separation, catalyst carrier and photoelectric.etc. With its high specific surface area and special pore structure becoming the research focus of porous material. The whole organic skeleton porous polymer has been synthesized by reaction of 4,4’- diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI) trimer with three different active monomers respectively, such as para-phenylene diamine, 4,4’-diamino diphenyl ether(ODA) and melamine. The structures and performance of POPs are characterized by FTIR, XRD and TG analysis methods. The specific surface area, pore structure and hydrogen adsorption performance of the different porous organic polymers have been analyzed in this dissertation. a) The preparation of MDI trimer and multimers: The trimer and multimers of MDI were synthesized by using solvent hot method under 60℃, and the specific surface area of mutimers were tested. b) Synthesis and performance of diphenylamine- iso-cyanuric acid ester ring POPs: The POPs with the iso-cyanuric acid eater ring as the main structure were synthesized by the solvent thermal reaction with para-phenylene diamine as the second monomer. The polymer structure and thermal stability were characterized by FTIR, XRD, TG analysis methods. The results showed that the polymer have nice thermal stability and completely amorphous structure. The test results of BET specific surface area show that the specific surface area of polymer that preparation with the optimal synthetic conditions is 117m2g-1.The hydrogen adsorption capacity of polymers were 0.02wt%, 1.7wt%, 0.96wt% with conditions of 77K/1bar, 77K/4.7MPa, 298K/4.7MPa. c) Synthesis and performance of phenyl ether- iso-cyanuric acid ester ring POPs: The POPs were synthesized by the solvent thermal reaction with ODA as the second monomer. The polymer structure and thermal stability were characterized byFTIR, XRD,TG analysis methods. The results showed that the polymer have nice thermal stability and completely amorphous structure. The BET specific surface area of 53m2g-1 with the best synthetic conditions. d) Synthesis and performance of triazine- iso-cyanuric acid ester ring POPs: The POPs were synthesized by the solvent thermal reaction with melamine as the second monomer. The analysis results show that the polymer has amorphous structure and nice thermal stability. The specific surface area range of 150-250m2g-1 with different reaction conditions, the pore size distribution is wide. The hydrogen adsorption quantity were 0.18 wt %, 2.7 wt % with conditions of 77K/1bar, 77K/1.5MPa. The hydrogen adsorption capacity is 1.45 wt % with conditions of 298K/4.9MPa.This dissertation extends the choice scope of synthetic monomer of organic polymer. Based on MDI trimer structure and reactivity, the iso-cyanuric acid ester ring was introduced into the porous polymer. The pore structure and hydrogen storage properties were analyzed. Those provides a theoretical support to POPs applied in gas storage.
