Comparing to ordinary surfactants molecules which have single hydrophobic chain and single hydrophilic group, Gemini surfactant is a novel surfactant which is made up of two amphiphilic molecules connected at the level of the head groups by a spacer group. Spacer group greatly reduces the tendency of separate from each molecule because of the charge repulsion between the ions head, thereby greatly enhancing the surface activity of Gemini surfactant. What makes Gemini surfactant has broad application prospects.This paper studied the synthesis route of sulfonate Gemini surfactant which is coupled by EDA. Using Ethylenediamine, 1,3-propanesultone and fatty chloride as main raw materials, three kinds of sulfonate Gemini surfactant N,N′-difattyacyl Ethylenediamine-sodium dipropane sulfonate(G-10、G-12、G-16)were synthesized by N-alkylation reaction and acylation reaction. The structures of the synthetic products were characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectra.The properties of Gemini surfactants G-10、G-12、G-16 were tested, which includes surface tension、critical micelle concentration(cmc)、permeability、foaming performance、washing performance、acid or alkali stability and resistance to hard water and so on. Experimental results show that, Gemini surfactant has a high surface activity, the average permeability, good foaming performance and washing performance, and excellent resistance to acid, alkali and hard water.With synthetic Gemini surfactants G-12 as the main raw material, compound with plant-based surfactants、SAS-60 and other environmentally friendly surfactant. Through testing the permeability and washing performance of raw material and the Complexation, screening out the right ingredients, and then prepared an eco-friendly scouring agent G.Gemini surfactant and compound production scouring agent G were applied in cotton fabric scouring, and optimize the use technology of scouring agent G. Experimental results show that, Gemini surfactant and scouring agent G have good scouring effect, after compounding the surfactant has more excellent application performance; optimization technology is: scouring agent G 3g/L, Na OH 5g/L, 30% hydrogen peroxide 5g/L, scouring time 60 min. After scouring under optimized process the weight loss rate、whiteness and capillary effect of cotton fabrics was 3.90%、84.4 and 16.5cm/30 min, well meet the requirements of the subsequent processing of cotton fabrics.Gemini surfactant and compound production scouring agent G were applied in cotton fabric scouring, and optimize the use technology of scouring agent G. Experimental results show that, scouring agent G has better scouring effect than Gemini surfactants, the optimization technology is: Scouring agent G 3g/L, scouring temperature 95℃, scouring time 40 min. After scouring the Degumming rate、whiteness and capillary effect of silk fabrics was 22.81%、75.5 and 19.5cm/30 min under the optimum Craft.
