Mine surface deformation is a universal phenomenon,which is very complex factors, including not only the distribution of underground coal mining, coal mines and underground geological conditions also will have some impact on the coal surface deformation,accurately prediction mine surface deformation can effectively prevent the occurrence of disasters. Current traditional forecasting methods have the problem of low prediction accuracy.Therefore,how to effectively predict the deformation on the surface of coal mine,to avoid the occurrence of disasters has great significance.This paper introduces the research status of gene expression programming and deformation prediction of surface coal mines, and describes the characteristics of the surface deformation and deformation monitoring of relevant theory; Then, for the characteristics of surface deformation monitoring data mine contains high frequency noise, designed based on the Fibonacci sequence weighting preprocessor surface deformation monitoring of coal mine raw data were smoothed pretreatment;Also, according to the principle of gene expression programming in Visual Studio programming environment, the use of C # programming language to design mine surface deformation prediction model based on gene expression programming; Finally, the use of a coal mine before the deformation of the surface 20 of the original data as training data, by setting certain parameters to construct predictive models of surface coal mine based on gene expression programming, and after five deformation data were predictive analysis; and the prediction model based on the gray GM(1,1) prediction model established by comparative analysis additionally accuracy.The results show that the predicted value and the actual value of the resulting difference in the use of GEP between 4mm to 9mm, and the use of GM(1,1) prediction and actual values are obtained by a difference of about 10 mm, which can be drawn based on gene expression surface mine prediction model programming can effectively mine surface deformation prediction, the prediction for the coal surface deformation provides a new approach.
