The Study And Application On The System Of Fault On-line Monitoring For Scraper Conveyor

Scraper conveyor is an important part of fully coal mechanized face. It not only bears the heavy task of coal loading and coal transportation, but also provides the orbit for the coal winning machine. It is an important equipment of fully mechanized face. The safety and stable operation of the scraper conveyor relates the normal production of fully mechanized face. Once a failure occurs of the scraper conveyor, in finding fault points and searching for solutions will take much time, which brings economic loss directly to coal mining enterprises. Therefore, the design of the fault on-line monitoring system for scraper conveyor has great significance. The system not only can prevent the scraper conveyor’s faults happening, but also can find the fault location fast when the fault occurs, which provides convenience for maintenance.Fault on-line monitoring system can real-time monitor the operative condition of scraper conveyor. When it fails, the system can stop immediately, alarm and give fault processing method. This system adopts the sensors and PLC to monitor the operation of the scraper conveyor. RSView32 PC software is used to draw the man-machine interface and completes the scraper conveyor running and fault on-line real-time monitoring design. The paper main including:(1) Researching the typical faults of the scraper conveyer and the fault tree is used to analysis the fault classification.(2) According to the result of the failure analysis, choosing different sensors for fault points and analysis different sensors’signal. Using PLC to make monitoring program.(3) Using the PC software to draw the monitor screens for different parts of the scraper conveyor, which can record the date of fault and warn.The system increases the fault monitoring point of the scraper conveyor. It is a combination of fault monitoring and operation control and through it, the working situation of scraper conveyor can been known real-time. When a fault happened, the fault location can be determined timely and at a same time the manner and identify solution are given, which reduces the maintenance time of scraper conveyor and improve the economic benefit of coal enterprise.
