Nowdays, althongh the world environment is worsening, the demond of paper continues to increase. To alleviate the shortage of wood supplyment and reduce environmental pollution which need to use more secondary fiber in the paper industry. The way to use secondary fiber is through the process of waste paper deinking. However, the key of it is the study and development of deinking agents.At present, in our country, the most of deinking agents are compound with low molecular surfactants or imports, however, with the continuous development kinds of paper and ink, more kinds and types of deinking agents should be developed. The polymer surfactant has many properties which are high molecular weight, the change of location between hydrophilic group and hydrophobic group, so they can synthesize a variety types of surfactants. More important are their better enmulsifiability, dispersibility and foam stability. In this study, Luaryl polyoxyethylene(9)ether itaconate ester of IAEO and two kinds of itacontic acid ester copolymer surfactants were prepared, and corresponding reaction conditions and deinking performances were tested. The main researches and results were as follows:(1)Luaryl polyoxyethylene(9)ether itaconate ester(IAEO) was synthesized by itaconic acid and luaryl polyoxyethylene(9)ether which was the new monomer to synthesize polymer surfactant. The single factor experiments and orthogonal experiments were investigated to optimize the conditions of esterification.The results showed that the molar ratio of IA to AEO-9 were 1:1.06 at 120℃ for 4h with 6.5% catalyst concentration of itaconic acid and 0.6% polymerization inhibitor concentration of itaconic acid, under the optimum conditions, the esterification rate of IAEO can reach up to 96.85%.(2)IAS polymer surfactant was synthesized by luaryl polyoxyethylene(9) ether itaconate ester(IAEO), acrylic acid(AA)and sodium methallyl sulfonate(SMAS) and used in waste paper deinking. Its synthesis process,compound condition and the surface chemical properities were studied, the deinking effect was compared by SEM.The results showed that the molar ratio of IAEO to AA to SMAS was 1:2:1 at 85℃ for 5.5h with 1.5% initiator concentration of total monomer had the best deinking effect. Its emulsibility and dispersity were better than AEO-9. GPC showed that the mean molecular weight Mn was 7714 and the polydispersity Mw/Mn was 2.121. When m(IAS):m(TX-10)=l:2(the total mass of compound surfactant was 0.2% of the dry paper), the whiteness of the deinked pulp could be increased by 2.3%ISO and the effective residual ink concentration could be decreased by 12.9 mm2·m-2 compared it was used alone.The SEM showed that the surface of fiber was smoother and the effective residual ink concentration was lower.(3)IHS polymer surfactant was synthesized by luaryl polyoxyethylene(9) ether itaconate ester(IAEO), hydroxyethyl acrlate(HEA) and sodium allysulfonate(SAS) and used in waste paper deinking. Its synthesis process, compound condition and the surface chemical properities were studied, the deinking effect was compared by SEM.The results showed that the molar ratio of IAEO to HEA to SAS was 1:1:1 at 85℃ for 4.5h with 1.0% initiator concentration of total monomer had the best deinking effect. Its emulsibility was better. GPC showed that the mean molecular weight Mn was 6319 and the polydispersity Mw/Mn was 1.987. When m(IHS):m(TX-10):m(AES)=l:2:1(the total mass of compound surfactant was 0.2% of the dry paper), the whiteness of the deinked pulp could be increased by 4.1%ISO and the effective residual ink concentration could be decreased by 14.6 mm2·m-2 compared it was used alone.The SEM showed that the surface of fiber was smoother and the effective residual ink concentration was lower.(4)Reseached the influence of deinking process on IHS polymer surfactant, and evalued the effect by whiteness.The results showed that the surfactant dosage of IHS was 0.3%, Na2SiO3 was 2%, NaOH was 1%, the pulping time was 30 min at 60 ℃, the curing time was 40 min at 60℃, the floation time was 6 min at 40℃. Under the optimum conditions, the whiteness could be up to 67.2%ISO, which improved 0.7%ISO than unoptimized.
