| Mud shale sidewall instability is an engineering problem which caused more attention of drilling engineers in well site and has not been well solved until now. How to find the signs of sidewall instability early in the process of drilling, prevent and control the complex and accidents effectively caused by wellbore instability, is the purpose that drilling engineers pursued. Therefore, it is very significant to research the borehole instability warning theory and method under the modern drilling technology condition. This dissertation aims to put forward a mud shale sidewall instability warning method based on the combination of geology and engineering, research and develop the early warning software system using the related tools in the computer field. Firstly, the mechanism and the cause of mud shale sidewall instability has been investigated and analyzed in this dissertation. On the basis of investigation and analysis, the author presented a general warning idea that combines the geology and engineering. At the same time the author elaborate emphatically the build process of the three dimensions geological mechanical model and extracting method of geological parameters along with the well trajectory. Based on the geological mechanical model and parameters extracting method, the borehole instability warning model and the quantitative classification warning method have been set up in consideration of the geological parameters and the drilling operation parameters. Finally, based on the theory and method, the author developed the part function of mud shale sidewall instability warning software by the technology of computer.The warning of mud shale sidewall instability is very complicated. The author only presented a general idea of mud shale sidewall instability warning?and developed the key part of warning software considerate the combination of geology and engineering‘ There are some factors that have not been considered until now, it need to further explore and research. |
