Three wires submerged arc welding, which is the core of the high strength pipeline manufacturing technology to achieve high welding speed and high quality welding joint. Research on three wire submerged arc welding temperature field and the thermal cycle process can explore compound mechanism of the heat source process optimization can form optimized three wires submerged arc welding process with valuable engineering application.Firstly, based on the classic model of Rykalin welding temperature field, by introducing the function of electric arc coefficient, the model for various heat sources were established; the critical value of thin plate and thick plate was got on the basis of thick plate and thin plate solutions, interpolation method was used to determine the middle thickness plate calculation formula. Peak temperature Tmax and cooling time t奶 of three wires submerged arc welding were also obtained. The models and solutions were verified with three wires submerged arc welding experiments. Based on tg/s indicators, the equivalent three wires submerged arc welding heat input was determined. Experiment results show that the proposed prediction method is reasonable, the method is simple in form and meaning is clear, arid it is suitable for engineering application.Secondly, Abaqus software was used as simulation platform, the ellipsoid heat source model was used by the efficient three wires submerged arc welding process of welding thermal simulation. Simulation of the molten pool size and the size of the actual joint is consistent peak temperature rmax and cooling time ?g/s was established. Comparision results between experiment results and experiment results show good accordance with welding temperature field distribution, it’s can be used to reliably predict welding temperature and thermal cycle.Finally.Taguchi method is used to design experiments, use the forming quality of surface and cross section and welding joint performance parameters as evaluate items for the three wires submerged arc welding, optimized process are finally obtained.
