| Polyurea elastomeric material is one of elastomers reacted from isocyanatecomponent and amino compound component. The elastomeric material is a greeneco-friendly materials, which has excellent physical and chemical properties, such asmechanical properties, wear resistance, corrosion, etc., without catalyst. Duringconstruction, the material is free from ambient temperature and humidity. To furtherimprove the overall performance of polyurea material and expand applications,thispaper mainly studied the optimized synthetic process of spray polyurea elastomer and preparation of flame retardant polyurea elastomer.In this study, we have used the diphenyl methane diisocyanate (liquefied MDI),isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI) and amino terminated polyether as the main rawmaterials, dimethylthiotoluenediamine(E300) as chain extender, respectively to synthesize a series ofpolyurea elastomeric by two-step method. This result shows thatIPDI system in the synthesis of spray polyurea elastomer can reach 100% solid content, but liquefied MDI cannot achieve the solid content of 100%, so we use the IPDI system for subsequent spraying experiment.In order to investigate whether the gel time can be extended, we used,Thymine,Antioxidant 4010NA, 1,3-Dicyclohexylurealurea as the secondary amine chain extender to synthesis polyurea.The study shows that the three polyureas accord with our expected structure. In the case of the same weight loss, the polyurea using1,3-Dicyclohexylurealurea has better heat resistance.We found the secondary amine chain extenders have the little shorter gel time with the primary amine chain extenders(E300) by testing gel time, but they can achieve spraying polyurea gel time.This article adds different content of diluent,and it finds that 5% content of diluent can have the effect of viscosity reducing, and make the smaller influence of the mechanical properties of polyurea.In this paper, we have modified IPDI polyurea systems and prepared a series of polyurea by using flame retardant. The experimental results show that the polyurea with flame retardant has accorded with our expected structure,and flame retardant performance improves significantly When it is 15% with the flame retardant, the elongation at break reaches the maximum. And in the aspect of heat resistance, water resistance it does’t change obvious. |
