Railway spoil tend to have large, loose slag heap and permanently discard pile characteristics, result in geological disasters are likely to occur, such as avalanches, landslides and debris flows. Therefore, the ecological restoration of railway dumping sites meaningful to prevention of environmental pollution and prevent soil erosion. This article take the new built Cheng-Lan railway as an example, on the basis of field surveys and analysis of the ecological environment along the railway line features, ecological functions as well, combined with basic experiment of dumping sites ecologically sensitive areas of ecological restoration from China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group CO. LTD(CREEC), through data query and expert advice, various ecologically sensitive areas (arid valley of the Minjiang River, high altitude, panda habitat) of site conditions and vegetation distribution has got, meanwhile, according to different environmental function and protection goals determines Cheng-Lan railway ecologically sensitive areas of ecological restoration dumping sites appropriate species and planting methods, vegetation community structure and management of conservation measures, eventually build dumping sites ecological restoration technology solutions of Cheng-Lan railway down to three paragraphs ecological field as Minjiang River dry valley, high altitude, the giant panda habitat. By selecting ecological restoration pattern in design of programs to look forward to design a financially reasonable and technically feasible, ecologically effective ecological restoration technical solutions, spread to other railway or associated works.
