With economic development, China’s demand for mineral resources is increasing. Mine production enterprises have an important role in the national economy. As mine tailings production enterprises in the mineral processing, storing mine tailings are important places for producers as indispensable auxiliary facilities indispensable auxiliary facilities. According to information shown at home and abroad, due to the lack of effective tailings management and monitoring, there have happened many tailings security incidents, and resulted in a large number of casualties, caused serious damage in people’s life and property safety. At the same time, they also made serious ecological environment pollution.The method of traditional safety tailings monitoring is a regular or irregular data collection, so as to realize the safety monitoring of tailing dam.There will be some artificial collection errors and mistakes, and caused some risks. For remedying the lack of artificial acquisition, improving collection efficiency, and ensuring the accuracy of the information collection, real-time, as well as to facilitate the management of mine tailings production enterprises, the tailings online safety monitoring system began to be promoted and used. This article is aim to discuss about improvements of the existing tailings safety monitoring system, and the deficiencies of the existing tailings safety monitoring system on the functionality. This article focuses on introducing the deposited beach gathering information theory and algorithm, according to Silverlight theory to achieve dynamic configuration features of the device improvements, in addition, it also increased backup and restore functions for web.config file encryption and databases. System selected B / S development model, using the three-tier architecture, using VS 2010 development tools, and on the VS 2010 add the relevant patch of Silverlight, C # as a background to the development of language development, database chose SQL Server 2005.Based on Silverlight tailings safety monitoring system, which is in the existing system, according to the actual operating conditions, combined with mine production companies make improvements to the system requirements, and carry out further development. Further meet the daily requirements of the mine tailings production enterprises to monitor and improve the monitoring of efficiency and accuracy.
