| In view of the problems that wheel wear of current blade grinder mainly relies on manual detection,which is difficult to detect and has low detection efficiency,a blade edge width measuring instrument based on machine vision is designed.Blade grinding edge width dimension is used to monitor wear of grinding wheel online,a timely feedback signal is sent to PLC to adjust wheel’s grinding feed-in to ensure that grinding edge of blade is within acceptable tolerance.This paper firstly describes the subject background and research significance,summarizes traditional tool angle measurement methods,development of domestic machine vision in measurement,and algorithm principles commonly used in machine vision;the measurement dimension analysis of blade is carried out,and overall design scheme of the measuring instrument is put forward.Choose the type of camera,telecentric lens,light source,light source controller,industrial computer,design vision frame box,blade holder,camera holder and other components;In addition,a fish-bone diagram was used to analyze the risk factors for the failure of blade width measuring instrument,and preventive measures were proposed;The software system design includes introduction of image processing knowledge,camera calibration,Halcon algorithm programming,introduction of software operating environment,display interface design and algorithms integration.After completing the design of hardware and software system of the measuring instrument,the experimental verification was started.The experimental platform was used to statically measure a group of blades,and then manual image measuring instrument DMS3020 was used to statically measure the same group of blades to verify operation accuracy of the blade edge width measuring instrument;then carry out online dynamic measurement,use the same DMS3020 to conduct static measurement again to verify the online dynamic measurement samples,compare and analyze the results of two different measurement methods to verify the accuracy of the blade edge width measuring instrument.After a long period of automatic production verification,the blade edge width measuring instrument runs stably.When blade edge’s width exceeds the set tolerance,the instrument sends a compensation signal to PLC,and PLC controls servo motor to drive the grinding wheel to feed in or feed out,Grinding compensation is carried out to bring the cutting edge width back to the tolerance range.The blade edge dimensions are strictly controlled within the following size range:fine grinding edge tolerance:0.3 +0.05/-0.05 mm,rough grinding edge tolerance:1.94 +/-0.1mm,total blade width:18.9+/-0.13 mm.The successful development of the instrument has realized automatic control operation of blade grinding machine,greatly improved the quality and reduce labor cost,made a certain contribution to the development of blade processing equipment. |
