| As a great nation for the production and demand of garment industry, China is inferior to other developed countries in the development and production of sewing equipment, and needs to import lots of advanced equipment from abroad as well as important components for further utilization, which greatly increases its development cycle and cost of sewing equipment. Industrial sewing machine as one of the most important models has been widely used in apparel designing and manufacturing processes. In order to intertwist the top stitch with bobbin thread, structure and components of the industrial sewing machine will be massive and become complicated due to their coordinated movements. Therefore, its computer-aided analysis is of great importance. Because both enterprises and manufacturers mainly focus on current benefits and ignore the kernel technology is the key to keep sustainable competitiveness. As a result, to promote the numerical control of sewing equipment is particularly significant and will be an inevitable trend in the future. This paper was finished on the basis of such a background.Based on the GC sewing machine from a joint-stock company, this thesis made a kinematics analysis of each structure with its motion sketch, drawn from the analysis of all components’ principles and motion events. In addition, the solid modeling is carried out on its main working parts by applying a three-dimensional software Solid Works.Analysis on the movement of the thread-taking-up mechanism was conducted by applying the Simulink function of Matlab,and obtained got the motion curve of key points and kinematic simulation animation. At the same time, the simulation of motion trail is also analyzed through Simulink, which is regarded as a simply, quickly and accurately new method for the improvement and optimization of industrial sewing machine.With the assembly function of Solid Works and Motion Simulation plug-in, the simulation animation can be carried out through its motion graph after the completion of the components’ assembly and analysis of motion performance. Through the analysis of the simulation results, the working cycle diagram was completed, the preliminary improvements of optimization design were given through the analysis of working cycle diagram, which is significant for the optimization of the sewing machine in the future. |
