Design Of Interesting Clothing Pattern Based 3-6 Years Old Children

Pattern is an essential designing element in children’s clothing design. It highlights the important difference of clothing between children and adults, and has its own features. Previous scholars highlight that the designing of children’s clothing should meet their psychological needs, emphasize children’s nature, and stimulate children’s imagination and creativity. However, clothing of 3-6 years old children were bought by their parents, which determines that when designing children’s clothing pattern, parents’ aesthetic tastes should be taken into consideration as well as children’s. Based on these, the paper studied on design of 3-6 years old children’s clothing pattern. The key factors affect the choice for children’s interesting clothing pattern were concluded according to current market requirement. The weight ratios of each factor were coordinated, and designing methods were put forward for interesting pattern of children’s clothing. Practices about design were conducted based on the features of interesting pattern.The paper discussed from four aspects. First, the paper described the concept and feature of children’s interesting clothing pattern, concluded current materials and designing methods for children’s interesting clothing pattern. Second, the paper took3-6 years old children and 80 s parents as studied objects, the results of market researching about current requirement for children’s clothing pattern showed that these certain groups of people had special requirement for children’s clothing pattern.Third, the paper put forward some designing methods to coordinate the weight ratios of influencing factors of children’s interesting clothing pattern. And through comparing with original methods, we concluded the features of new methods to further state the innovativeness and originality of interesting pattern design. The paper put forward three designing methods: a. personification method, innovative methods simulating one’s emotion were put forward based on basic methods of simulating one’s expression and motion. b. reinforcement method, including simplified method,addition method and deformation method, the designing idea and approach were put forward for them, respectively, and made the pattern samples. c. combination method,including combination after break up and group method, combinational design of color and texture were conducted among combinational elements. Finally, the paper applied personification in literary creation into interesting clothing pattern design,strengthen the features of children’s interesting clothing pattern, thus to verify the feasibility of the proposed methods in the paper.The paper based on the design philosophy of “people first”, emphasized the relationship between human and pattern. New methods for designing children’s interesting clothing pattern were put forward through combining theoretical research with market research. On the one hand, enriched the decoration and cultural connotation of interesting pattern, improved the interest, personality and fashion ofchildren’s clothing pattern, thus broaden horizons for children’s clothing pattern design. On the other hand, put the goals of clothing pattern design on meeting the deep emotional requirement of consumers in the experience economy time, injected positive energy into the culture of children’s clothing pattern design to improve market competitiveness of children’s clothing pattern.
