Application Of Inaction Wisdom In Contemparory Furniture Design

Through the theoretical analysis of "Inaction" Thought of Confucianism, Taoism, Zen, based on creational law embodied in the ancient Chinese philosophy, to summe up creational wisdom from the ancient philosophy of "doing nothing", and take Ming-style furniture as an example to analysis the " Inaction wisdom" through material, shape, and decoration, combined with an analysis of the situation of modern furniture design to consequently summe up the design method of" Inaction wisdom" which compatible with modern furniture design.The research method of this paper include documentation method, case analysis method(, and qualitative analysis method.the conclusions of this paper:"wisdom of inaction" in Modern Furniture Design application need to adhere to the principle of practical, economy, green ecological, and aesthetics. In practical method, we need to take the inaction of the material, the shape, the colors, and the ornaments.By the discussion of the creations aesthetics of "wisdom of inaction" and modern furniture design, it is possible to provide a useful reference for the study of the application of traditional culture in contemporary design, so that the value of the essence of Chinese civilization can be fully reflected, it has also a certain significance on the practice of modern furniture design.
