In modern manufacturing,processing for small deep hole is becoming more and more,and the quality of hole processing requirements is also more and more high.At present,although there are a lot of small deep hole machining process method,but the ordinary twist drill in drilling process is still the most widely used and the strongest usability processing method in production.But,with the progress of era,the development of science and technology,all kinds of high hardness,high brittleness etc in industry characteristics of difficult processing and application of new materials and composites are increasingly widely.As a result,common drilling way cannot complete drilling or can not meet the requirements of the processing quality.The backward processing method,it is bound to affect the application of new materials.The ultrasonic vibration drilling is the further development of common drilling,it has a unique cutting mechanism and the Superior technical effect.This kind of ultrasonic vibration drilling not only changed the traditional drilling mechanism of drilling,but also changed the chip forming condition,forming a new machining method in nature,and can effectively improve the machining precision and surface quality and cutting efficiency.Because of the special physical properties of Hetian jade,the traditional machining method has great limitations,for its small deep hole machining is difficult to meet the requirements of precision and surface quality.In this paper,Hetian jade as the research object,according to Hetian jade unique cutting machining.Firstly,this paper introduces the physical properties of Hetian jade,and analyses the characteristic of the cutting process.Secondly,it introduces the ultrasonic vibration drilling system and the design principles of important components in the system.what is more it in-depth analysis material removal mechanism of vibration drilling.Finally,Hetian jade as the research object,has carried on the ultrasonic vibration drilling and common drilling test,and comparison analysis the test results under the ultrasonic vibration drilling and common drilling,such as amount of tool wear,hole enlargement,entrance,exit burr hole and surface roughness.According to this paper can draw the conclusion that ultrasonic vibration drilling is not only easy to drill,the hole straightness can also obtain good security,and at the same time it can obtain better processing quality and drilling efficiency and provides a better and new technological process for small deep hole drilling of Hetian jade.
