Investigation On The Periodic Color And The Property Of The Segment Colored Yarn

An important reason for the segment colored yarn raising widespread concern is its special coloreffects. But all the time, nobody does the research for the its color changing disciplinarian. Besides,since the appearance of the segment colored yarn,Its equipment and technology have improved alot,but it has not been widespread and the range of its application are limited to the knitted and weftof woven fabric. The reasons for this situation is to achieve the effects of the segment color, the yarnexists mainly in the form of the single yarn which makes the yarn property greatly bad. It mainlymanifests in the decrease of the strength, the increase of the weak section, the increase of the hairiness.Though many people do a lot of improvement to the yarn’s equipment and its spinning method, it isusually the wasted effort, some are out of the nature of the segment colored yarn. this article mainlyfinished the following several jobs.(1) This article researched the spinning principle and the spinning technology. The analysisresults show:the realization of the color effect is due to the discontinuously feeding of the auxiliaryyarn. The realization of discontinuously feeding is by removing discontinuously part of the teeth ofthe back drive roller gear, the number of the interval remain teeth affects the section length of thesegment colored yarn, the number of the interval removing teeth impacts the size of the sectionbetween section. Due to the segment colored section of the yarn is difficulty to attach to the naturalcolor yarn,the twist should be higher. Due to reduce the hairiness, the steel traveler should be heavierand the diameter of the steel collar should be small. The choice of the rubber roller should be higherelasticity and lower hardness.(2) Taking the32S cotton segment colored yarn common in the production.Measuring the lengthof each period of this segment colored yarn. Calculating the cover rate and the cycle of the segmentcolored yarn. In the beginning the cover law of the a color segment (blue) in the complete cell cycle isthe maximum,then decreases gradually until it is disappear, then gradually increase. The hairiness of the segment colored is more. The form of the hairiness have be short,thecoil, orbicular and long. The cross-section of the segment colored yarn is circular or elliptic. The fiberof the color distribute on the outside, quantity is less and distribution is discrete. The content of thecolored fiber are basically accounted for a quarter of outer circumference. The primary colored fiberdistribute even and centralized.(4) Determining the tenacity, hairiness, evenness, abrasion of32S/2segment colored yarn,32S/2primary colored yarn,32Ssegment colored yarn and32S primary colored yarn. Results are listed asfollows: the32Sfantasy yarn with more hairiness and evenness has instable tenacity, causing the nepseasily, not available in the weft of woven. While the plied segment colored yarn, the result show thetenacity increases obviously,the hairiness reduces obviously and the abrasion increases a little.compared with the same parameter ring spun yarn, its property improves obviously(5)Using32S/2color yarn as weft yarn, fabric in plants texture (trees), presents the effects ofimitation linen. Color line with small lines and small intervals looks bright. In this paper, the fabricwas compared with another three kinds of fabrics in the performance. As the results, the color yarnwoven after stranding are significantly increased in strength, hardness, wear resistance and airpermeability.
