Most common lubricants only perform within a narrow temperature range, suchas C, WS2, ZnO, BaF2and Ag. Thus, the combination of two or more than twolubricants is one of the effective methods to realize lubrication over a widetemperature. The paper designs TiAl matrix self-lubricating composites applied in a widetemperature range from lubrication phase and lubricant addition amount. We preparedTiAl matrix self-lubricating composites containing WS2, ZnO and WS2+ZnO usingspark plasma sintering. The structural characteristics of TiAl matrix self-lubricatingcomposites containing different lubricants were studied; the tribological properties ofTiAl matrix self-lubricating composites containing different lubricants from25to800°C were studied; the synergetic effect of composite lubricants of WS2and ZnOwere studied; the composition were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD); the wornsurfaces and cross-section of wear scar, wear mechanisms and lubricationmechanisms were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), field emissionscanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscope (XPS),electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS).The tribological behavior of TiAl matrix self-lubricating composites (TMSC)containing0wt.%,5wt.%,10wt.%and15wt.%WS2investigated from25to800°C atthe condition of10N-0.23m/s indicated that: WS2could improve the tribologicalproperties of TMSC at25-400°C; TMSC containing10wt.%WS2exhibited bettertribological properties over the wide temperature range. The tribological behavior of TMSC containing0wt.%,5wt.%,10wt.%and15wt.%ZnO investigated from25to800°C at the condition of10N-0.23m/s indicated that:ZnO could improve the tribological properties of TMSC at above400°C; TMSCcontaining10wt.%ZnO exhibited better tribological properties over the widetemperature range. The tribological behavior of TMSC containing0wt.%WS2+0wt.%ZnO and10wt.%WS2+10wt.%ZnO investigated from25to800°C at the condition of10N-0.23m/s indicated that: at all temperatures, the friction coefficients and wearrates of TMSC containing WS2and ZnO were lower than those of TiAl alloy; the WS2 and ZnO exhibited the best synergetic lubrication effect over the wide temperaturerange; The tribological properties of different temperature zone selectivity for us torealize the use of solid lubricant and wide temperature zone excellent tribologicalperformance design provide theoretical guidance and new understanding.
