Based on the former research of Carrier Aerated Bioreactors (CABR), the researchmethods which included reducing the aeration flow aeration, intermittent aeration, wereadopted to test the CABR system on the effect of artificial sewage processing, andfocused on comparative analysis of two kinds of aeration way of energy saving effect, aswell as found the best proportion aeration time of intermittent aeration on the basis ofguarantee treatment effect.The experiment proved that the CABR reactor under reducing oxygen aeration modeminimum COD removal rate was76.76%, the maximum was98.17%; NH+4-N removalrate was88.57%on average, the maximum was94.94%; TN removal rate was82.65%onaverage, the maximum was90.78%. And compared with common water treatmenttechnology, CABR reactor under reducing oxygen aeration mode remove1kg cod couldsave energy consumption of0.31kW h, but under the influence of air control difficulty,it failed to get a more accurate conclusion.When setting the percentage of time air on and off ratio at4:1、3:2、1:1and2:3,the COD and BOD treatment effects of the CABR were good, almost the same as theeffect of the control experiment. But when setting the percentage of time air on and offratio at1:4, air in a real experiment was less than the continuous aeration air needed forremoval of COD and BOD theoretical calculation, leaded to the removal rate of COD andBOD present obvious downtrend, final effluent concentration is not up to standard. Andcompared with common water treatment technology such as A2/O, When setting thepercentage of time air on and off ratio at4:1、3:2、1:1、2:3and1:4, CABR reactorremoving1kg cod could save energy consumption of0.02kW h,0.19kW h,0.28kW h,0.35kW h and0.42kW h. Aeration time proportion of30%could ensure the organicmatter removal efficiency of the reactor, as well as the greatest degree of saving energy.The results showed that:In guaranteeing the CABR under the condition of basicwater treatment performance, reducing air or adopting the intermittent aeration modeappropriately can effectively save energy consumption of water treatment.
