SiC_p / Cu composite has high wear resistance, high temperature resistance and a series of performance .Therefore its applications is very broad. Power Injection Molding has the advantage of forming large quantities of complex shape and small metal parts. Products in different parts have uniform density and high performance. Using the advantages of metal powder injection molding, this study mainly prepares SiC_p / Cu composites with excellent performance.In this paper, Cu of 20μm in diameter and SiC of 10μm in diameter were applied. The influence of powder loading, binder system and skim process on skim conformal was researched; the influence of injection molding parameters on the injection of the formability of blanks was researched; the influence of sintering process on the sintered parts was researched; the influence of SiC volume fraction on composites hardness, Strength and wear resistance was researched.The results show that high powder loading and wax-based binder are conducive to debind. In this paper, the powder loading was 50%, and binder was 55% PW +40% LDPE +5% SA. Appropriately increasing the temperature of the solvent, the enhancement of molecular diffusion capacity will help degreasing solvent. The debinding temperature was 35℃. The heating rate is essential in thermal debinding process. It's easy to produce crack, blister and other defects when heating rate is too fast. Then a lower heating rate is more appropriate. In this paper, the curve was room temperature 60minâ†'150℃(holding 30min) 100 minâ†'250℃(holding 1h) 120 minâ†'340℃(holding 1h) 150 minâ†'490℃(holding 30min)炉冷â†'room temperature.Injection molding parameters have a decisive impact. Injection of copper powder, the sample shape is good when the injection temperature was 160℃and injection pressure was 110MPa.The increasing of the SiC content, the viscosity of feed increases and flow performance variation was not conducive in injection molding. It's advisable to suitably enhance the injection temperature and injection pressure on the basis of copper .Finally the process was smooth when the injection temperature was 180℃and injection pressure was above 120MPa.In the sintering process, H2 was used. Heating rate was 5℃/ min and the sintering temperature was 1050℃. Then excellent performance sintered parts were obtained by using medium heating rate and high sintering temperature.With the increasing of SiC content, hardness of SiC_p/Cu composites increased .However, its strength increased at first and then declined. In dry sliding condition, the friction and wear properties of SiC_p /Cu composites were researched .By comparing, tests show that SiC particles embedded in the copper base has protective effect on the surface and has anti-pear cut ability .And SiC_p/Cu composite has excellent friction and wear performance.In this study, Process of preparing SiC_p / Cu composites was researched and then the basic method how to improve properties of the parts was used. The research plays a good role in expanding the application for the SiC_p / Cu composite materials .So it has great value in engineering.
