Blating fumes is one of the main pollution sources underground, and mining blasting releases most part of blasting dust. If those things are not diluted down to the safe concentration on time, the next work can't be start on schedule. So it is essential to master the rule of diffution with dilution of blasting dust inside the stope, and then to controlling dust polluting. At last, it could be speeding up the mining process and giving workers a safeting work plase. The present paper deals with a study on specific component and the rule of diffution with dilution of somke inside the stope. The CFD software FLUENT is used to simulate the smoke diffusion rule in an actual stope. These results are usefull to impoving the ventilation system. The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:1. Through referring to the information, the main component of smoke and the somke diffusion rule is finded, and more, the main factor of which affects the somke component.2. Through studying the diffusion rule of CO and particle and different numerical model, the suitable numerical models are found for both CO and particle:CO species transport, partical two phase flow model.3. The modeling equations should be discreted before solving them. By analysising different methods of discretization, the suitable discretization scheme is found, so as to solving methods. Control volume method was used to discreting the equations. PISO method was used to solving them.4. Computer simulations are carried out to study somke's diffusion rule of a real stope. The simulation results show that diffusion rules of CO and partical are basically the same. The time for particle concentration level declines to security concentration was slightly later than the time for CO.This study has shown that the numerical simulation method is one of the effective methods to show the detail information of contamination concentration distribution, and to provide powerful basis for ventilation strategy.
