Pipe straightener is one of the important devices which produce the pipe production. In the pipe production, the pipe straightener plays an irreplaceable role. The rigidity and the intensity of pipe straightener's frame and the curve's precision of pipe straightener roller are extraordinary important to steel pipe's quality. Also, the upper and lower beams are the key components of pipe straightener's frame. Therefore, this paper studies the upper and lower beams of pipe straightener,stand and the curve of pipe straightener's roller.The upper and lower beams of pipe straightener's frame are the key components of pipe straightener, whose quality will affect steel pipe's quality. Therefore, the structure optimization of the upper and lower beams is particularly important. However, for optimizing complex structures, the traditional analytic method does nothing.With the development of both hardware and software in the areas of computer technology, modern mechanics and calculating mathematics, FEM analysis has a great progress on FEM theories as well as its application. FEM has become one of the most popular and efficient numerical analysis methods in engineering structure analysis.In this paper, through researching the structure of the upper and lower beams, based on the finite element method, we establish the finite element model and the structural optimization model of the upper and lower beams. Through analysising the structural features and loads condition, selecting the lightest weight of the upper and lower beam as the object function and the main structural size of the upper and lower beam as the design variables, we create the structural optimization program and the parameter optimization analysis file of the upper and lower beams under satisfying the static intensity,rigidity, boundary constraint conditions.we optimize them to obtain the ideal structural parameters by the Sub-Problem optimization tool. The APDL parameters model is easy to modify, which greatly improves the efficiency of the analysis.Pipe straightener's rollers are the important deformed tool of pipe straightener. Therefore, for the curve's characteristics of Pipe straightener's roller, using Newton's iterative method, we develop a"rolling curve design"by VB. It will reduce the probability of human's error and improve the accuracy of the roller design by using the software.
