Study On Thermal-wet Comfort Of Table Tennis Apparels

Clothing is an important medium between man and environment system, and its functions of heat and moisture transfer has an important role on adjusting the microclimate between man and environment system. During the athletic process, this kind of performance appears more important. In this paper, firstly we let participants to simulate table tennis games in the laboratory, measure the metabolic rate of every kind of game's action and calculate the average metabolic rate of participants in the whole game. Finally we get the metabolic rate of playing table tennis. And then let the participants who wear sportswear for table tennis run on the treadmill, whose metabolic rate is the same as in table tennis. By testing change of skin surface temperature, temperature and humidity between clothing and skin, subjective sensation of the participants in the running, combined with the heat and moisture transfer performance index of fabrics themselves, to comprehensive evaluate thermal-wet comfort. By comparing thermal-wet comfort of different table tennis sportswear, we will provide guidance to the manufacturers of fabrics, table tennis apparels and some consumers, and offer some research methods and conclusion to the relevant topic research.
