Utilization of hydrothermal synthesis provides one polyoxometalate compounds that have not been reported before. This compound is synthesized under conventional conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.Compounds 1 is A 1D chain-like compound with the formula: [Cu(C,oN2H8)2(H20)]2{[Cu(C,oN2H8)] [Cr(OH)6Mo6O18]2}·10H2O based on Anderson-type polyoxoanion [Cr(OH)6Mo6O18]3-. X-ray diffraction result reveals that the compound(1) crystallizes in the monoclinic, space group P21/n with a=1.4569(2) nm, b= 3.4591(5) nm, c= 1.5088(2) nm,α= 90°,β= 111.453(2)°,γ= 90°, V= 7.0771(18) nm3, Z= 4, R1= 0.0743,ωR2= 0.1916. Crystal structure analysis indicates that the compound is a 1D chain-like compound, connected by alternating 2,2-bipyridine copper complexes and the anion [Cr (OH) 6MO6O18]3- unit. In addition, pyridine ligands from adjacent chains throughπ-πinteraction result in the formation of the 3D structure further. In addition, we also investigate the literature of ionic liquids in this paper and bring forward the potential development of ionic liquid based on POMs in the future.
