Research On The Modeling Properties Of Mdf As Furniture Substrate

Wood has always been the main material of furniture, although the timber itself is a renewable resource, but by the limitation of their growth years (especially some rare species) and the shortcomings of wood figure, the continuous generation of alternative materials, including which MDF account for a large proportion in furniture application, MDF become the main surface decorative and structural material of furniture.This thesis took MDF as the study object, started from its characteristics, used textual methods and data analysis on the modeling properties of MDF as furniture substrate. Discussed its characterization and the reason of widely application in the furniture industry, summarized the application in the furniture industry's forms, methods and effects. Summarized MDF in the way of furniture in the process modeling, methods and modeling results. Divide the MDF shape properties of the substrate as furniture into basic properties, forming properties, surface morphology and edge decoration to study three aspects of shape analysis. Through systematic research and analysis, consider that:there are various treatment of MDF in furniture molding and can achieve various styles of artistic effect meet the individual needs of consumers; some furniture style can not rely on MDF processing because of MDF molding property defects; design MDF and thick MDF appears to further simplify the processing of production processes, bring new furniture style; the application of MDF as a furniture substrate ratio will be further expanded.
