An economic automatic shearing device for pouring channel in a small-scale injection molding part was developed against the need of enterprise. It could shear pouring channel in a poor working environment instead of workers without artificial aids and supervision. The labor intensity and production costs were greatly reduced, so it is fit for promotion and application. Besides, it has a good draw and demonstration for studying other shearing devices of small-scale injection molding parts, and fills the gaps of the field in our country.The function of shearing device for pouring channel in a small-scale injection molding part was analyzed at the beginning of this paper. The shearing device system was decomposed into locating mechanism, shearing mechanism, transfer mechanism and control system of injection molding part. And the working recycle charm of system was drawn. The locating scheme of pouring channel relative to shearing cutter was defined and a detailed design for the locating mechanism was conducted. Through comparative analysis, the program of "Cutting tool shears while inserting into pouring channel in injection molding part" was determined. The shearing mechanism with cam mechanism was put forward. The mechanism synthesis and structural design were completed. Then the parameters calculation and selection of shearing mechanism's driving components were analyzed in detail. Transfer of injection molding part after shearing was divided into taking and putting mechanism and moving mechanism. The composition of vacuum air-claw taking and putting mechanism and selection were analyzed. The composition of transfer mechanism with plane four bar mechanism and the scale synthesis were analyzed. The factors of vacuum air-claw mounting plate angle's error and the error compensation methods were studied importantly. The control system was studied and the control program of system was defined according to working cycle chart of shearing device's system. The hardware and software of system were analyzed and introduced.Finally, the locating, shearing and transfer tests of the prototype were carried out. The improving measures were put forward against the testing problems. It was verified that the locating mechanism, shearing mechanism, transfer mechanism and control system were feasible and reliable. Its performance could meet the design requirements. The automatic shearing device for small-scale injection molding part has very good practical value.
