The study of non-linear energy transfer between wind-generated waves begins in 60s'of last century and plays a very important role in the study of ocean waves in nowadays. Since the theory system was constructed by Phillips and Hasselmann in 1960s, many authors have made their efforts on the designing and improving of calculation methods for non-linear energy transfer and have got fruitful achievements. In this paper, many previous researchers'work has been summarized and divided into two categories called exact computation and approximate computation. In recent years, improving the existing approximate method and using new computational technique to reduce the computational workload become two main trends of this study. Based on the experience of other researchers, a new computation model has been set up in this paper, which can present the contribution of each resonant configuration to the total energy transfer clearly and illustrate the details of the structure of each straightly. The non-linear energy transfer in parameter-fixed spectrums was studied with the help of the new model and the results are coinciding with other researchers'. The effects of interaction coefficients, wave number resolution and parameterĪ³on energy transfer in 2-d JONSWAP spectrums were also been tested in the new model. Further researches can be done on the basis of this paper.
