Ontology theory is originally a philosophic concept. In philosophy, it mainly studies the nature of existence. But in the last few decades, this word is applied to the computer field, which is defined as the exact description of the concepts. Ontology plays a more and more important role as a tool of classification in the Artificial Intelligence, Computer Language and the theory of Database. Due to its characteristics, Ontology is largely built in manual way, which deeply makes many troubles in the shareable, recycling use and cooperation. In order to improve the efficiency of the ontology building, a modern method is to use formal concept analysis to build ontology.The research in the past is based on the traditional set theory, but actually many of information are fuzzy and complex. It is really difficult for the traditional ontology to describe effectively. As a result, we apply Zadeh's fuzzy mathematics idea to the process of building ontology, combine the fuzzy set theory with the conceptual lattice to form fuzzy conceptual lattice, then use the method of fuzzy clustering analysis transfers the fuzzy conceptual lattice to the fuzzy ontology, and last make some operations on the ontology and evaluate it.According to the current situation and existing problems of Biological Diversity, this paper mainly applies this method of using fuzzy clustering to build ontology to the building of Biological Diversity ontology. The following is our main research works:1. Give a brief description of the current situation of traditional Biological ontology and raise the meaning of building an updated one.2. Combine an actual example to build a Biological Diversity fuzzy ontology through the method of fuzzy clustering.3. Make an inserting renew operation on the ontology formed above in the way of fuzzy reasoning.4. Evaluate the ontology formed above through the study of the threshold Tαand Tβ.5. Point out the problems and weakness in the process and the prospect of this research.
